Sharpe Pritchard, one of the UK’s leading public law firms, has announced two key promotions, effective from Tuesday, 1st April 2025.
Joe Walker and Emily Knowles have been promoted to partner, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to recognising and nurturing exceptional talent from within.
Joe trained at Sharpe Pritchard, furthered his career elsewhere and then re-joined the firm in April 2022 as a senior associate. He is a highly experienced dispute resolution lawyer, specialising in real estate and planning disputes, public law matters, and complex commercial issues.
Over the years, he has advised a broad spectrum of clients, from central and local government to multinational corporations, delivering practical legal solutions with an unwavering focus on his client’s goals.
Emily began her career with Sharpe Pritchard as a trainee solicitor in 2015. After qualifying, she rapidly established herself in the planning department and is now taking the step up to partner.
She represents both public and private sector clients, negotiating and drafting intricate legal agreements for significant national and local development projects. Her portfolio includes estate regenerations, garden and urban villages, sports facilities, reservoirs, and major transport initiatives.
